President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani condemned the deadly suicide attack in capital Kabul which left at least twenty six people dead or wounded.
The Office of the President, ARG Palace, in a statement said the criminal terrorists once again carried out a suicide attack close to Malik Asghar Roundabout this afternoon, leaving a number of people dead or wounded.
President Ghani, quoted in the statement, said the terrorists will not only reach to their goals by carrying out such criminal acts but will further increase the hatrted of people towards them.m
No individual or group has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
The Ministry of Interior says at least six people have been killed and at least twenty others have sustained injuries in today’s attack.
Today’s incident took place amid ongoing protests against the Taliban attacks in Ghazni and Uruzgan provinces.
Hundreds of protesters marched towards Presidential Palace in Kabul late last night demanding President Ghani’s immediate actions regarding the recent wave of violence which struck two districts in Ghazni and another district in Uruzan province, mainly inhabited by Hazaras of Afghanistan.
The protesters had gathered near the road leading towards Presidential Palace and demand President Ghani to issue a decree to suppress the Taliban militants.
