At least eight Afghan police were killed when the insurgents attacked outposts in Afghanistan's southern Zabul province last night, an official said Saturday.
AVA- The attacks involved three checkpoints in Nawbahar district.
Gul Islam Siyal, a spokesman for provincial governor, said that three more police were wounded in the attacks.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attacks and as usual exaggerated over the number of casualties.
Separately, four people were arrested over fake banknotes and illegal weapons in eastern Khost province, police said Saturday.
They were arrested in Khost city, with the police seizing 69,000 afghanis and three pistols.
