The Afghanistan Under-16s Football National Team defeated Tajikistan during their second match in the Central Asian Under-16s Football Tournament.

The Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) said the Afghan U-16s managed to secure a victory 1-0 over Tajikistan during the match on Saturday.
According to a statement released by AFF, the match was hosted by Uzbekistan and this was the first victory of the Afghan U-16s in the tournament after their defeat by their hosts Uzbekistan.
According to the Football Federation of Afghanistan, the Uzbekistan Under-16s football team defeated Afghanistan 4-1 during the opening match of the Afghan Under-16s in the tournament.
The Afghan Under-16s will face Kyrgyzstan during their third in Central Asian Under-16s Tournament on Monday.
The Afghan team had earlier left for Oman to participate in a 6-day training camp. They had also played two friendly matches with Oman in a bid to prepare for the Central Asian Tournament.
The Afghanistan Football Federation had earlier said that Afghanistan would face Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan during the Central Asian Under-16s Football Tournament.
