Fierce clashes broke out on Saturday between Palestinian residents of the Hebron-area town of Beit Ummar and Zionist soldiers who broke into the town, forced shops to shut down and stopped and inspected cars, according to a local activist.
AVA- The activist, Mohammad Awad, told media that residents confronted the soldiers after breaking into the town.
The soldiers fired rubber bullets, stun grenades and tear gas at the residents, causing dozens of suffocation cases treated on the spot by Red Crescent medics.
One youth suffered a broken arm he sustained while running away from the soldiers.
Awad said a grenade fired by the soldiers caused fire in one of the farms and loss of crops.
