The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has said that the cricket board of the United Arab Emirates has agreed to provide venue for the Afghan Premier League (APL) matches.
ACB in a statement said the Cricket Board of UAE has sent a letter to the International Cricket Council informing the agreement to host the Afghan Premier League.
The Cricket Board of UAE has said that the Afghan Premier League matches will kick off from October once permission has been granted by the International Cricket Council, ACB added in its statement.
According to the Cricket Board of Afghanistan, the Memorandum of Understanding for the Afghan Premier League Twenty20 matches was signed during the month of January this year.
At least five teams will compete during the Afghan Premier League matches from 5th to 23rd October, the Afghanistan Cricket Board said.
Apart from the Afghan athletes, a number of the foreign cricketers would also participate in the matches, ACB said, adding that the teams would be purchased during an auction.
The TCM firm has been appointed as the executive partner based on a contract signed between the company and the Afghanistan Cricket Board during the month of April.
