Atmar briefs Indian delegation regarding ongoing conflict in Afghanistan

Afghanistan’s National Security Advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar met with the Indian delegation led by India’s deputy National Security Advisor Rajender Khanna in Kabul.
The Office of the National Security Council (ONSC) in a statement said the meeting has been organized in the framework of the joint security bilateral committee.
The statement further added that Mr. Atmar shared information regarding the security situation of the country.
According to the Office of the National Security Council, Atmar also shared information regarding the geography of the ongoing where the Afghan forces are facing foreign terrorists.
No further details have been given regarding the meeting which kicked at around noon time today.
The Indian delegation led by Deputy NSA Rajender Khanna arrived in Kabul to meet with the Afghan officials.
India has played a major role in the reconstruction of Afghanistan since the fall of the Taliban regime and has invested over $2 billion in various reconstruction and infrastructure projects.
This comes as reports emerged earlier suggesting that New Delhi is mulling to expand security support to Afghanistan.
