Six people were killed and another 37 injured in a car bomb blast in the capital of southern Kandahar province on Tuesday, hospital sources said.

The bombing took place in Hazrat Ji Baba area that falls in the limits of 14^thpolice district of Kandahar City at around 1pm.
Sources at the Mirwais Hospital said six dead bodies and 37 injured people had been received from the blast site. The injured included eight security personnel, four children and common people.
The explosive-laden car had been seized by intelligence officials and went off amid attempts to defuse it, the sources said.
