Nineteen suspects have been detained in the past week for attempting to smuggle hundreds of kilograms of narcotics in difference parts of the country.
AVA- Ahmad Khalid Moahid, spokesman for the Criminal Justice Task Force (CJTF), told Pajhwok Afghan News the men were detained in Kabul, Herat,  Zabul, Balkh, Kapisa, Kandahar and Nangarhar.
He said three men, who tried to traffic heroin and cash placed in their abdomens to India, were among the detainees held at the Kabul International Airport
Overall, 81 kilograms of heroin, more than 18 kilograms of opium, 2,511kg of hashish, 59kg of chemicals, 1,945kg of crystal matt and 135 K-tabs were recovered from the detainees.
Similarly, $1,950, 42,592 afghanis, 13,540 Indian rupees, 3,000 Pakistani rupees, 20 mobile phone sets, two weapons and three vehicles were also seized from the smugglers.
Moahid said the detainees were being interrofated by the task force personnel.
