At least five people were wounded after a helicopter crashed in capital Kabul, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) official said.
AVA- The incident took place late on Sunday afternoon with the Ministry of Defense spokesman Gen. Dawlat Waziri saying at least five foreign nationals were wounded in the incident.
He said the helicopter crashed shortly after the take off from a military academy in Kabul slightly wounding five foreigners.
According to Gen. Dawlat Waziri, the wounded individuals are in stable condition.
Gen. Waziri also added that the helicopter has likely crashed due to an accident but did not elaborate further in this regard.
Capt. Tom Gresback, a spokesman for international forces, quoted by the Associated Press has said it was not a U.S. or NATO helicopter.
Gen. Gresback has further added that no NATO forces were among the wounded.
In the meantime, reports indicate that the helicopter belonged to a private firm which has been contracted for the works of the military academy in Kabul.
