The Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan (MoPH) confirmed that 95 people have been killed and 191 others have been wounded in Kabul bombing.
AVA- MoPH spokesman Dr. Wahid Majroh told reporters in Kabul on Sunday that the ministry can confirm the death of 95 people in the attack.
He said at least 191 others were also wounded in the attack which has also caused massive collateral damage to the surrounding properties.
According to Dr.Majroh, the Jamhoriat hospital is located close to the attack area and the hospital has sustained damages in the attack.
However, he said the hospital is operational and the wounded people are still being treated in it.
In the meantime, Majroh said at least 182 of those wounded are men while 9 other are women.
The Taliban militants group claimed responsibility behind the attack with the group’s spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid claiming that the victims of the attack are civilian and military staff of the ministry of interior.
The attack was carried out by a vehicle packed with explosives and was the second deadly attack in the capital over the span of a week.
The last deadly attack was carried out on Intercontinental Hotel on20th of this month that left at least 22 dead, including many foreign nationals.
