A suspected U.S. drone struck a vehicle on Afghanistan-Pakistan border, killing a Haqqani network commander and his aide, Pakistani media reported.
The Express Tribune reported that there were at least four people in the vehicle which was targeted near Kurram Agency of Pakistan.
The paper identified the killed Haqqani commander as Juma Khan.
Taliban-allied Haqqani network is responsible for some deadly attacks in Afghanistan.
In August, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a new Afghanistan strategy and pushed Islamabad to take greater action against militant groups who launch attacks in Afghanistan.
Islamabad, however, has yet to take action.
