Afghan Local Officials Accuses Gov’t of Supporting IS in Nangarhar

Afghan local officials have accused the government of supporting Islamic State terror group also known as Daesh and Islamic State of Khurasan province (IS –K) stating that the Taliban are being bombed during the military operation while the Islamic State fighters are not.


AVA- “When the operations begin, the Taliban are being bombed while the Daesh fighters are not bombed,” Ahmad Ali Hazrat, the Provincial Council Chief of the province surprisingly told Ariananews.

He also noted that the Islamic State terror group is just 1 kilometer away from the Capital City of Khogyani districts.

According to the provincial council members and local residents, the Islamic State or Daesh terror group fighters have recently seized the control of many areas in Khogyani district.

The provincial council members further stated that thousands of families have been displaced since few days ago and the government is silent against the terrorists’ progress.

While the conflicts between the local residents, Taliban and Daesh have been going on since several days ago but the governor spokesman says of a rapid measure against the terror group.
