Kabul Police Freed Teenage Boy, Detained 8 Kidnappers

Kabul Police have rescued an 11-year old boy and arrested a group of eight kidnappers during a special operation, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a statement.


AVA- “Afghan security forces rescued the abducted boy named Muhammad Eisa last night around 9:00 PM in a special operation from the fifth vicinity of police headquarters in Kabul,” the MoI statement said.

According to the statement, the 11-year old teenage boy, Muhammad Eisa son of Haji Zia was kidnapped on October 9 from the vicinity of 11th security district and was kept at Kot-e Sange area of Kabul city.

The family of freed teenage boy praised Afghan forces’ efforts and called for the punishment of the perpetrators by the judicial institutions.

This is not the first time that children are being kidnapped in Kabul, but similar events have been occurred in most of the country’s provinces.

This comes as beside insecurity and other problems of the country, the kidnapping of children had a remarkable increase during the last and the current year.
