Afghan government signed a contract with a Chinese construction firm on Trans-Hindukush Road Connectivity Project on Sunday.
AVA- The project includes construction of 152km road from Baghlan to Bamiyan and the rehabilitation of the Salang road and tunnel.
The Baghlan-Bamiyan road project has six segments and the recent contract covers work on first and sixth segments.
It covers construction of 48.7 km road and is estimated to cost $48 million.
The contract was signed in the presence of Present Ashraf Ghani following regular Economic High Council meeting.
The Trans-Hindukush Road Connectivity Project is estimated to cost $255 million, with the World Bank committing $250 million.
