Head of construction firm, engineers arrested for poor quality work on Afghan bridge
Head of a private company and two engineers were arrested Wednesday over poor quality work on a bridge in Afghanistan's eastern Jalalabad city.

AVA- The 350-metre bridge known as Second Behsood Bridge has been reconstructed at the cost of 175 million afghanis on Kabul River.

But the bridge is in deteriorating condition.

Visiting the bridge along with construction firm, the provincial governor, Mohammad Gulab Mangal ordered his arrest and two engineers involved in the project.

They were handcuffed by the police and are expected to face prosecution.
