A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed to create transparency in the Afghan security forces funding provided by the United States, the Ministry of Finance said on Wednesday

AVA- Eklil Hakimi, minister of finance and Robin L. Fontes, US Army major general, signed the MoU requiring the combined security transition command-Afghanistan (CSTC-A) to assist Kabul in strengthening the Afghan forces.

"Both sides will work closely to create transparency in security forces' salary payment and auditing funds through the Afghanistan Financial Management Information System (AFMIS)," a statement from the ministry said.
