Nine insurgents including a Haqqani suicide bomber trainer died in airstrikes carried out by the Afghan security forces on Wednesday.

AVA- At least nine insurgents including a Haqqani suicide bomber trainer was killed in airstrikes by Afghan security forces in central Logar province on Wednesday afternoon, local officials confirmed on Thursday.

In addition, six other insurgents were wounded.

The airstrikes took place in Yousufkhil, Rustamkhil and Shah Mazar areas in Pul-e-Alam district of the province.

Haji Asad, who trained suicide bombers, and eight other insurgents were killed, a spokesman for the provincial governor, Shapoor Ahmadzai said.
