Afghanistan condemns deadly militant attack in Indian Kashmir

Afghanistan condemned Monday's militant attack in Indian Kashmir that left seven people dead.


AVA- The victims were Hindu pilgrims, most of them women, who were killed in a gunbattle following two militant attacks on police. The pilgrims were on their way back from a shrine when their bus got caught up in the ceasefire near Anantnag town. Indian police said that Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba was behind the attack.

Condemning the attack, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said that the terrorists as enemies of humanity and civilization have not respect to any religion or law, adding they create hate by attacking religious places, women and children.

He noted that Afghanistan is the forefront of fight against terrorism and that it has showed honesty and bravery in this regard. The president also stressed on joint and serious fight against terrorism in the framework of single strategy.
