Silence of Arab countries and complicity with the Zionist regime
Expressing regret over the current situation in Palestine, Mrs. Sadat stated that in recent months, we have witnessed the brutal massacres of the Zionist regime against the defenseless people of Palestine. She emphasized that it is necessary for all Muslims in the world, especially Arab countries, to take a firm stance against these crimes.
This cultural activist stated: “Unfortunately, the Arab world has remained silent in the face of these massacres, and this silence means their complicity with the occupying regime. The reason for this silence is the fear of Western countries that do not want to jeopardize their position. Shame on these countries that the Prophet of Islam brought religion to the world from the same land, but they have even forgotten their own sacred places.”
Mrs. Sadat stated that the Islamic nation is a single nation and that defending Palestine is a universal duty, adding that Jerusalem is the first Qibla of Muslims, therefore defending this holy place and supporting the oppressed people of Palestine is obligatory upon all Muslims.
She also considered the role of youth, cultural figures, and the media important in this regard, stating: “The current era is the era of information and cyberspace. Youth, cultural figures, and the media have a great responsibility towards Jerusalem. They must defend the rights of the Palestinian people by producing content, writing articles, publishing news, and holding various ceremonies so that one day we will witness the absolute freedom of Jerusalem.”

The impact of International Quds Day in conveying the voice of Palestine
Soraya Hosseini, a cultural and media activist, also told Ava that naming the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as Quds Day has caused the Palestinian issue to become global.
She added: "Since 1979, when Imam Khomeini (RA) named this day International Quds Day, we have witnessed Muslims all over the world, including Afghanistan, expressing their support for the Palestinian people by holding marches and gatherings." Referring to the silence of most Arab countries regarding the Zionist regime's massacre in Gaza, Ms. Hosseini stated that one of the reasons for this silence is political issues and strategic interests, and many of these countries see their interests in relation to the West and do not want a conflict to arise. Referring to the responsibility of Muslims towards Quds, she stated that every Muslim has a duty to support the Palestinian issue in any way they can, and all Muslims should also show their support for Quds through marches, political and promotional activities. According to this cultural activist, the media and writers can play an important role in raising public awareness and neutralizing the propaganda of the Western media.

International Quds Day, a symbol of the unity of the Islamic nation
In an interview with AVA, media and cultural activist Seyyedah Zahra Alavi also called International Quds Day an important event in the Muslim calendar and said that this day is celebrated in more than 80 countries around the world.
She also emphasized that participating in the Quds Day march is of great importance and some religious authorities have even considered attending this march a religious obligation.
Criticizing the silence of Arab countries against the crimes of the Israeli regime, this cultural activist said: "Unfortunately, Arab countries, which are the origin of Islam, have distanced themselves from Islamic values today and have remained silent in the face of oppression. This silence is either due to their fear of Western powers or the result of their secret connections with the Zionist regime.
