Afghan Voice Agency (AWA) - Kabul: As the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan and the International Quds Day of the Imam of Islam and Muslims approaches, Sayyed Wahid Hosseini, a religious scholar and head of the cultural organization Haya Ilya An-Nour, said in an exclusive interview with AWA reporter: “God Almighty says in Surah Al-Ma’idah: And you will find the most intense hostility of people to those who believe, the Jews; meaning, the most hostile people to the believers are the Jews. Quds Day is a day to confront this dangerous enemy, which has characteristics such as cruelty of heart, ruthlessness, bloodthirstiness, distortion and slander. The Jew not only destroys thoughts, but also destroys homes and bodies.”
Stating that we, as Muslims and believers, have a duty to declare our innocence from our enemy, he added: “As the Holy Quran says: Indeed, Satan is your enemy, so take him as an enemy. The importance of Quds Day is also in this; that is, acting on the verses of the Quran.”
Western media trying to change realities
Referring to the role of Western media in distorting the truth, Hojatoleslam Hosseini said: “The enemy is not afraid of anything as much as awakened consciences, which is why the Western and Jewish media empire is trying to downplay Israel’s crimes in public opinion or to change the place of the executioner and the martyr.”
Recalling the extensive media propaganda to whitewash the crimes of the Zionist regime, he stated that the Western media is trying to present the Zionist regime as a peace-loving regime.
He added: "An example of this was when the United States awarded the Peace Prize to Ariel Sharon, the accursed Prime Minister of Israel. This is while the Israeli regime has been committing massacres for years and is still applauded in the Senate when its prime minister goes to the United States. If it were not for the media preparation, this would not have been possible."
According to the head of the Haya El-Nour Cultural Organization, anyone who wants to harm the Zionist regime must awaken consciences and public opinion against this regime, because awakening consciences is the deadly poison of the Zionist regime.
Individual and social solutions to confront Zionism
Providing solutions to confront Israel, Hojatoleslam Wal-Muslimin Hosseini said: "We have two types of solutions; one individual and the other social. On an individual level, each person should increase their studies on Jews and Zionism and live consciously. They should also encourage those around them to do so.”
Regarding social solutions, he clarified: “Institutional measures should be taken at the community level. One of these measures is the boycott of goods related to Zionism and Israel. Also, on a political level, this issue should become a public demand; so that if a scholar does not put the fight against Israel among his political and religious priorities, he should be disowned and imitation and propaganda from him should be abandoned.”
He added: “Governments and politicians who adopt a neutral stance towards Israel should be faced with a strong social demand and people should ask them why they do not have a clear stance against this occupying regime.”
The necessity of expanding Jewish studies in scientific and educational centers
The religious scholar emphasized the role of scientific and educational centers in raising awareness about Zionism and said that schools, universities, and seminaries should have Jewish studies and Zionist studies courses.
He added: "Of course, this requires courage, because the enemy will not remain silent in the face of such awareness-raising measures and will definitely deal heavy blows to any scientific center that takes such a step."
He concluded by saying: "Nevertheless, this is a duty. We must teach the young generation about Jewish history, the functioning of Zionism, and the current crimes of this regime in a scientific and academic way so that they can consciously resist the enemy's propaganda wave.
It is worth noting that the last Friday of Ramadan was named as World Quds Day by Imam Khomeini (RA) in support of the Palestinian people and condemnation of the crimes of the Zionist regime. This day is commemorated every year around the world, and Muslims declare their support for the Palestinian people by holding marches and rallies.
