British PM David Cameron pledges support to Afghanistan football

The British delegation which included former British football star, also signed an agreement with the Afghanistan football federation, to provide technical support for Afghanistan in the field of football.

British Prime Minister David Cameron during his meeting with the members of the Afghanistan football federation has pledged to support football in Afghanistan.

Cameron arrived in Afghanistan in an unannounced visit to meet with the British forces stationed in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan.

The secretary general of the Afghanistan football federation, Syed Ali Reza Aqazada met with the British Prime Minister David Cameron in Helmand to discuss Britain’s support to Afghanistan.

The British delegation which included former British football star, also signed an agreement with the Afghanistan football federation, to provide technical support for Afghanistan in the field of football.

Cameron also pledged to facilitate more opportunities for cooperation between the football federation of the two nations.

He also said that Britain will assist Afghanistan and support the Afghan Premier League sponsored by Roshan Telecom.

Cameron also praised the growth of football in Afghanistan and said that he expects to see the Afghan football team participating in 2022 football world cup in Qatar.
