Dialogue between Afghanistan and Pakistan critical to regional security

The British and US forces were working to make Afghanistan a safer place.

US President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron on Monday reviewed progress in Afghanistan, expressing satisfaction with the pace of security transition.

“We reviewed progress in Afghanistan, where our troops continue to serve with extraordinary courage alongside each other,” Obama told reporters at a joint news conference with Cameroon at the White House.

Obama commended Cameron’s efforts to encourage greater dialogue between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The US president called the dialogue process critical to regional security.
