A roadside bomb struck a civilian vehicle in the western Farah province 695 km west of Kabul on Sunday, killing four civilians and injuring five others, spokesman for provincial administration Abdul Rahman Zhawandon said.

“A civil vehicle was on way from Khak-e-Safid district to the provincial capital Farah city when it ran over a mine planted by militants, leaving four commuters dead, including a woman, and injuring five others,” Zhawandon told Xinhua.

He also put the attack on Taliban militants, saying the armed outfit by organizing subversive activities wants to terrorize the people.

Meantime, the Taliban fighters who have challenged the government and NATO-led forces have yet to make comment.
