NATO soldier die in southern Afghanistan

At least 348 NATO soldiers mostly US troops have been killed in Afghanistan in various incidents since the beginning of 2012.

A NATO soldier died as a result of a non-battle related injured in southern Afghanistan on Thursday.

NATO-led International Security Assistance Force following a statement on Thursday announced, “An International Security Assistance Force service member died as a result of a non-battle related injury in southern Afghanistan today.”

The source did not disclose further information regarding the exact location and identity of the deceased soldier.

International Security Assistance Force generally do not disclose identities of the NATO soldiers killed in Afghanistan saying, “It is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.”
