Karzai names 10 new governors

According to the presidential decree, the advisory board has been directed to complete the process of gubernatorial postings within two months.

President Hamid Karzai has appointed 10 new governors through a decree. 

According to the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers the newly appointments are as below:  

1. Former Takhar governor Abdul Jabbar Taqwa has been posted as Kabul governor, 
2. Gen. Mohammad Naeem Baloch as Helmand governor 
3. Ex-Faryab governor Maj. Gen. Ahmad Faisal Begzad as Takhar governor. 
4. Sultan Mohammad Ebadi had been appointed as Baghlan governor 
5. ex-MP from Nangarhar Abdul Majid as Maidan Wardak governor. 
6. Mohammad Sarwar Subat has been named as Nimroz governor
7. lawmaker from Logar Fazlullah Mujaddedi as Laghman governor
8. Iqbal Azizi as Logar governor
9. Mohammad Tahir Sabari transferred to Badghis
10. Lugar MP, Mojadadi Fazlollah as Laghman governor 
 
  According to the presidential decree, the advisory board has been directed to complete the process of gubernatorial postings within two months. 

Former Baghlan governor Abdul Majid has been appointed as advisor to the president on social affairs.
