Kabul, (AVA)- A press conference on the national police achievements and the Besmellah Mohammadi trip held in Kabul by Afghanistan interior ministry.
Sedigh Sedighi, the Afghanistan interior ministry spokesman, said the three days trip of Afghanistan interior minister to Herat was over the concerns of increasing the number of kidnapping in this province.
Some merchants and industry workers had been striking when the interior minister arrived in Herat.
The people suggestions were heard in the visit of Herat governor, neighborhood council and Herat representatives in parliament.
Sedighi said following the interior minister trip, the Herat security commander was replaced by Seyyed Abdul Ghafar Seyyed Zade, an interior minister top member, to eradicate the kidnapping in Herat.
An especial team was established to follow the kidnappers track with advanced equipments, he added.
The spokesman said a kidnapper accused of a number of kidnappind was detained during an operation in Anjil province on Wednesday.
The number 119 introduced to people as a line to interact with police, Sedighi said.
He said the police forces will take strong security measures in Fitr festival, the festival at the end of the fasting month.

The interior ministry spokesman said the Taliban attacks rose in Ramadan month leaving the residents killed or wounded. 8 killed and 8 wounds in Paghman, 6 killed and 5 wounds in Helmand, 19 wounds in Nangarhar are the casualties of Taliban attacks.
