An Iranian national sentenced to 18 year in prison in Afghanistan

Under questioning, he confessed the crime.

An Iranian national on the accusation of smuggling drug was sentenced to 18 year in prison.

The detainee aged 50 smuggled drugs from Afghanistan into Iran.

The Iranian national from Mashhad had placed 10 packages of opium weighted 200 KGs in his transit truck and wanted to smuggle out when he was seized by Afghan police in the zero borders.

According to Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) the Afghanistan narcotic counter and illegal beverage court sentenced this criminal to 18 years in prisons.

Under questioning, he confessed the crime.

He is given all rights of defending himself, hiring lawyer and asking for reviewing his case for change in the decision.

Sentencing this Iranian national was in accordance with the Afghanistan narcotic counter and illegal beverage court.
