Clashes between Afghan forces and Taliban in Kunduz

Heavy clashes between the Taliban militants and Afghan security forces have been reported in northern Kunduz province.

According to local authorities the clashes started on Saturday night at Chahar Dara district and is still continuing between Taliban militants and Afghan security forces.

District security chief Ghulam Mohiuddin said the clashes started after Taliban militants shot dead a a local police officer.

The exact number of casualties as a result the clashes have not been disclosed by officials yet. (AOP)
