participants of Chicago Summit to support Afghan security forces

Political pledges or statements of goodwill would not be enough.

Experts [Kabir Ranjbar and Fahim Dashti] termed the Chicago Summit as vital for Afghanistan. Others said that it wouldn’t be the destiny-making event for Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the United Nations urged the participants of the Chicago Summit to extend massive support to the Afghan security forces.
The participants of the Chicago Summit should make strong, clear and predictable commitments for Afghanistan for the years to come, the UN Special Envoy for Afghanistan, Ján Kubiš, said.
Political pledges or statements of goodwill would not be enough, Kubiš added. He said that the international community must send the message to Afghans: We are going to stay for quite a while with you.(UNAMA)
