327 people killed, injured in Helmand during 1 month

He also said, at least 40 civilians were killed and more than 130 others were injured following unrest in this province.

According to provincial police chief Gen. Abdul Nabi Elham, majority of the civilians were killed and injured in roadside bomb explosions.

In the meantime local officials expressed concerns regarding the growing militants activities in the summer time since Pakistani militants were also entering Afghanistan to carry out insurgency activities.

At least 1437 people were killed and injured in various incidents across Helamnd province last year.
