Roadside bomb explosion kill 4 Afghan civilians in Nangarhar

Provincial governor strongly condemned incident and expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased civilians.

The officials further added, the incident took place early Saturday morning around 7:30 am local time at Khogyani district in eastern Nangarhar province AOP reported.

The incident took place after a civilian vehicle struck with a roadside bomb, killing at least 4 members of a family on board.

Provincial governor spokesman Ahmadzia Abdulzai confirming the report said, provincial governor strongly condemned incident and expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased civilians.

He also added, the provincial governor asked the security forces to recogize those involved behind the incident and introduce them to judiciary institutions.

No group including the Taliban militants have so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.

Local officials blamed the Taliban group for such incidents as the Taliban fighters frequently use Improvised Explosive Devices as the weapon of their choice to target Afghan and coalition security forces, but in majority of cases Afghan civilians become the victims of such bombings.
