Pakistan is committed to assist Afghan peace talks

Hina Rabbani Khar on Wednesday arrived in capital Kabul and met with Afghan President Hamid Karzai in ARG presidential palace KHAAMA reported.  

Afghan Foreign Affairs Minister Zalmai Rasool, Jawid Lodeen Deputy Foreign Minister for political affairs and Mohammad Omer Dawoodzai attended the meeting in Afghan presidential palace.

Afghan officials discussed mutual cooperation, terrorism threats and Afghan peace talks with the Pakistani foreign affairs minister Hina Rabbani Khar.

According to a press release issued by Afghan Presidential Palace, Pakistani foreign affairs minister Hina Rabbani Khar said that her visit to Afghanistan is to show the goodwill of Pakistan, and further strengthen ties with Afghanistan.

Hina Rabbani also invited Afghan President Hamid Karzai to attend the trilateral talks between Afgahnistan, Pakistan and Iran which is scheduled to be held during mid February in Pakistan.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai emphasized for the positive role of Pakistan in Afghan peace talks with the militants.

He said, instability has affected in Afghanistan and Pakistan has affected both the nations which prevents the people of the two nation from moving forward.

President Karzai also urged that the two nations should step up practical actions to bring peace and stability in the region.
