Afghanistan oppose Open Air policy for foreign airlines operations

Afghan airlines are being threatened due to the operations of foreign airlines being supported by their governments.

While speaking during the inauguration ceremony of the Afghanistan Airlines Union Afghan Transport and aviation Minister Dawood Ali Najafi said, they are expecting to hold a meeting with the representatives of the foreign airlines to discuss the issue in United Arab Emirates in the near future AOP reported.

Transport and Aviation Minister Dawood Ali Najafi further added, efforts have been put in place in order to pave the way for the resumption of Afghan Airlines flights to United Arab Emirates.

He said, we are against the implementation of Open Air Policy to allow operation of the foreign airlines in Afghanistan and we will discuss the issue with the representatives of the foreign airlines in our next meeting in UAE.
