Apologize civilian casualties in Paktiya operation

Karzai and NATO have had serious disagreements in regards to the night time operations by coalition forces.

Officials in Afghan presidential palace following a press release said, NATO-led ISAF commander Gen. John Allen conveyed his apologies for the death of an Afghan woman and injuries of four others following NATO forces raid on the house of Dr. Hafizullah chief of the Paktiya counter-narcotics department few days back KHAAMA reported.
He also conveyed his condolences for the civilian casualties as a result of the attack to Afghan government and Afghan people.
In the meantime, Afghan president Hamid Karzai urged the NATO-led international coalition forces to prevent night time operations and attack on Afghan civilian houses.
This comes as the Afghan government and NATO have had serious disagreements in regards to the night time operations by coalition forces, with the NATO emphasizing for the effectiveness of the night time crackdown on militants.
The issue was also discussed during the Afghan national grand assembly session in the month of November and NATO forces were urged to prevent from the night time operations.
