Militants attack police station in capital Kabul

one suicide bombers detonated their explosives in front of the 5th district police station and another inside the police station.

According to local residents and eyewitnesses in the area, at least two loud explosions were heard at the scene of the incident and a number of armed men have managed to enter the 5th district police commandment and exchange gunfire with the Afghan security forces KHAAMA reported.
An Afghan security official speaking on the condition of anonymity said, at least one suicide bombers detonated their explosives in front of the 5th district police station and another inside the police station.
Meanwhile, Afghan interior ministry officials confirmed that the clashes are now over and Afghan police forces have started investigations into the incident.
Sediq Sediqi interior ministry spokesman said, a number of unknown gunmen attacked the 5th district police station with hand grenades and there were no reports of casualties.
However the exact nature of the incident and details of casualties as a result of the incident have not been disclosed by security officials yet.
