6 million people die annually from tobacco using in the world

16 percent of youths aged 13 to 15 years in the Kabul schools use tobacco

Ministry of Public Health of our country celebrated the World Day of Tobacco prohibit, in order to inform the people about the damages of tobacco to make them quite it.
The Ministry of Health celebrated this day while 16 percent of youths aged 13 to 15 years in the city schools use tobacco.
Soraya Dalil. The head of the ministry of public health said using tobacco is the second cause of death around the world. Tobacco is the reason of one of ten mortalities in the world that annually reaches six millions people around the world and if using the tobacco continues like this in the year 2020 this number will reach 10 million people a year.
Head of Ministry of Public Health emphasized one of the dangers recently threatening the young health is using Hookah causing serious lung diseases, tuberculosis and lung cancer. The studies show those teenagers begin smoking at the age of youth and continue it dies 20 to 25 years sooner than those don’t smoke.

According to Soraya Dalil, tobacco has more than 4000 types of chemical substances from which about 50 types cause cancer. Snuff also causes mouth cancer she said.
She added 45 percent of young people at their homes environment and outside of the home are exposed to the smoke of cigarette and according to surveys taken 20 percent of young people think that smoke from the other smokers is harmful to them.
She said according to the decision of the Ministries Council tobacco use in all public places are prohibited.
Soraya Dalil asked all organizations of governmental and non government to help the ministry of public health to prevent struggling and using tobacco.
