2 NATO service members killed in Afghanistan

NATO says two international service members have been killed in a bomb strike in southern Afghanistan.
The international coalition said they were killed Monday but did not provide further details on the incident or the nationalities of the dead.
The latest deaths make 45 NATO service members who have died so far this month in the Afghan conflict.
NATO says four Afghan civilians have been killed and two others wounded by a homemade bomb planted by insurgents in eastern Afghanistan.
The coalition said international forces responded to the blast Monday in Zurmat district of Paktia province and transported the wounded to a local hospital.
In an overnight operation the same district, the coalition said a joint Afghan and NATO force killed Fared Gul, a Taliban fighter involved in planting roadside bombs and organizing attacks on coalition convoys and aircraft.
