Bomb blast hits Pakistani ca

A bomb that was planted in a dustin in Pakistani capital of Islamabad went off on Tuesday, but no casualties have been reported yet, witnesses and police said.

They said the bomb was planted in a dustbin in Sector H-8 area of Islamabad but it was a low intensity explosion.

Police reached the spot and cordoned off the area and examined the nature of the blast. They said that the blast occurred near the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation School but no damage to school and other nearby buildings has been inflicted.

Deputy Inspector General of Islamabad Bin Yamin said that it was not act of terrorism, confirming that the bomb was local made and planted in a dustbin.

Police said there seemed no motive behind the blast and they are investigating the matter. A few days ago, a blast of the same kind took place in a parking lot outside a shopping center in downtown Islamabad, killing no one.
