Kabul-Frankfort Flights Resume

(Quqnoos)_Direct flights from Kabul to Frankfort, Germany resume with the inauguration of new terminal, officials say .
A new modern terminal for international flights has been constructed in Kabul Airport.
“It is a great achievement; now our international airport has a world-standard terminal,” said Afghan Transport and Civil Aviation Minister, Hamidullah Farooqi.
The new terminal in Kabul airport was built with a massive donation of $35 million provided by Japan, the World Bank and the United Arab Emirates.
A private company is handling the ground services of the new terminal which is equipped with world class modern equipment.
As part of the UAE’s donations, the UAE has also provided security for the new terminal.
“I have seen remarkable change in Kabul airport. The new terminal is very nice and the services are also better,” said a foreign passenger flying back to Frankfort.
According to the Ministry, they have put the handling services of this new terminal up for bidding among international companies
