An Afghan Refugee Commits Suicide in Indonesia

Sayed Nader was a resident of the Jaghuri district of province and lived with his family in for about eight years as an asylum seeker.
Sayed Nader lived with his three daughters and a son in Pekanbaru, Indonesia, with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
His friends told Hasht-e Subh that he had previously been treated for stress and mental problems and had previously received medication from aid organizations.
Sayed Nader has after eight years of uncertainty and lack of resettlement. Fourteen other have already committed suicide in Indonesia.
About 8,000 Afghan refugees are currently stranded in Indonesia.
