Doha Talks: Islamic Emirate Insists on Release of Assets
Delegations from the United States and the Islamic Emirate held two-day talks in Doha and discussed a range of issues, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_The ministry’s spokesman, Abdul Qahar , said both sides discussed political, economic, health, education, security, and humanitarian issues affecting Afghanistan.

“The Afghan side assured them about security, urged immediate unconditional unfreezing of Afghan reserves, ending of sanctions and blacklists, and disconnecting humanitarian issues from political considerations,” he tweeted.
Balkhi said technical groups from both sides also held separate meetings to facilitate progress and both sides agreed to continue such meetings in the future.

The EU delegation asked the Islamic Emirate to take steps toward forming an inclusive government and paving the way for national reconciliation.
