Two People Arrested on Charges of Smuggling 70 kilograms of Hashish in Parwan
The detainees wanted to transfer this amount of hashish from the Northern provinces to Nangarhar province.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Security officials in province say two people have been arrested for smuggling more than 70 kilograms of hashish in the province.
“Two residents of Nangarhar and provinces who had skillfully planted drugs in a Corolla vehicle were detained at a checkpoint in the provincial capital,” Mullah Awal Gul Haqparast, commander of the Taliban police command in Parwan told Hasht-e Subh.
According to Haqparast, the detainees wanted to transfer this amount of hashish from the Northern provinces to Nangarhar province.
This amount of hashish was seized by security officials in Parwan province yesterday, while a few days ago the Taliban Interior Ministry announced that it was working with a company called Cpharm, which wants a processing plant, for pharmaceutical purposes in the country.
Saeed Khosty, a spokesman for the ministry, tweeted that the company would invest more than $400 million in Afghanistan.
