Taliban Rejects the Forced Eviction of Jowzjan Residents

There has been no forced eviction in the Turkmen village of Qudooq in Qush Tepa district and that no decision has been taken against anyone.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_The interim government of the Taliban has rejected the news of the forced eviction of residents of Qush Tepa district of province.

The rumors about the forced banishment of residents are not true, tweeted Inamullah , Taliban spokesman on Monday, November 29.

“There has been no forced eviction in the Turkmen village of in Qush Tepa district and that no decision has been taken against anyone, Inamullah quoted Sirajuddin Ahmadi, the Taliban’s police commander for Jowzjan province.

According to him, there is a conflict between two tribes and a delegation is to be set up to resolve it.

Meanwhile, a number of residents of the Tepa district of Jowzjan have recently said that they have been forced to move.

They claim their homes and thousands of acres of land have been confiscated by , and that local Taliban officials have detained protesters.

This is not the first time that the news of forced of residents of the province has been raised.

Earlier, residents of Kandahar and provinces claimed that the Taliban had forced them to leave their homes.
