Passport Distribution Process Starts in Parwan
The priority of distributing passports is for those who are patients, senior citizens, and people residing in foreign countries.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_ Police Command announced the beginning of the passport distribution process in this province.
The process started today Saturday, November 27, said Abdul Qadir Haqqani, Parwan Police Commander to Hasht-e Subh.
According to , Parwan Passport Department processes 150 documents per day.
On the first day of this process, more than two thousand people came to the Parwan passport office to get a verdict and go through the passport document process.
The priority of distributing passports is for those who are patients, senior citizens, and people residing in foreign countries, Abdul Qadir added.
Haqqani stressed that due to overcrowding, except for essentials, they are currently unable to distribute passports to people other than Parwan residents.
“In case of emergency, passports will be distributed to the residents of Panjshir in Parwan,” said Abdul Qadir.
However, other local sources in the Department confirmed that they could not issue passports to Panjshir residents.
It is worth mentioning that the process of distributing passports in Kapisa was supposed to start today, but this has been delayed for unknown reasons.
Meanwhile, officials state the limitations of the process, however, the fate of passport distribution in Panjshir province is still unclear.
In the meantime, , along with Parwan and , is one of the provinces in the northern part of Kabul.
