US may return some evacuated Afghan Refugees
CNN has quoted several US officials saying that Biden Administration may return home some evacuated Afghan refugees from Kosovo who fail the security screening.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_The officials have said that returning to is an option for the Afghan and acknowledged the US government is considering other potential options.
Hundreds of Afghans are stranded in a military base in Kosovo who was evacuated during the chaotic evacuation of the US in August.
The total number of Afghans evacuated to the US from August 15 until the end of August amounted to 70,000.
Afghan refugees who are still living in are the people who have failed the security screening and have not been settled in any country yet.
Though no Afghan has so far been returned from any country, spokesman of the State Department said that the Afghan refugees in Kosovo are more likely to be settled in the US or a third country.
