Afghan pilots flown out of Tajikistan

The United States has finally flown out the US-trained Afghan pilots who were stranded in limbo in Tajikistan for nearly three months after they had escaped Afghanistan following the Taliban’s takeover on August 15.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_A group of nearly two hundred-not officially confirmed- Afghan and military personnel were flown out in a -brokered_flight on Tuesday, November 9.

The Afghan pilots and military personnel among them a pregnant Afghan pilot flew to in a military aircraft to get to the Middle East and then seek resettlement in the US but were detained by the Tajik authorities and were in ordeal since then.

The pilots also flew dozens of out of Afghanistan to Tajikistan and .

The Taliban though invited former Afghan pilots and military personnel to join them, the Afghan pilots suspect and claim that they will be assassinated if they return to Afghanistan.
