Pakistan invites Taliban’s acting FM to attend Troika plus
Pakistani mainstream media have cited Pakistani officials that a special invitation has been extended to Afghanistan’s acting foreign minister Amir Khan Motaqi to attend Troika Plus.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Spokesperson of Afghanistan’s foreign ministry Abdul Qahar in a Tweeter post said that a high-level delegation led by Amir Khan will travel to Pakistan on November 10 to attend .
The Troika plus is intended to be held on November 11 in the Pakistan capital Islamabad.
Amir Khan Motaqi will reportedly be extending his visit by a day as he will conduct negotiations with the Pakistani officials on but Kabul has not commented on the visit yet.
Troika plus is a forum established by , the US, China, and Russia who are the most impactful countries in restoring peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The summit will be attended by Pakistan’s special representative to Afghanistan Sadiq Khan, US’s special representative to Afghanistan Thomas West, China’s special representative to Afghanistan Yue , and Russia’s special representative to the country .
Amir Khan Moraqi’s visit to Pakistan is said to be a step forward for recognition and legitimacy for the in Afghanistan.
