India may arrest those who celebrated Pakistan’s cricket win in Kashmir
Police in Indian-administered Kashmir have filed criminal cases under anti-terror law against students of two medical students who celebrated the win of the Pakistan cricket team over India in the ongoing T20 World Cup, Al Jazeera reported.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Senior police officials though did not mention the number of students, adding that they insulted national sentiment during the India-Pakistan match and two cases have been filed against them under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act ().
The local police filed against the students after their video cheering Pakistan’s win went viral.
Local officials have also reacted angrily and said that all those who celebrate other countries’ wins in will be identified and put in jail.
Police have neither mentioned the names of those wanted nor have arrested anyone yet.
Pakistan won their first-ever match against India on Sunday, October 24 that triggering both in and out of Pakistan.
