Pakistan opposes freeze on Afghan accounts
Putting a freeze on its accounts could create a grave humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, warns Pakistan’s interior minister.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_ Ahmed hoped the Taliban would honour their pledge of preventing terrorist groups like Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan and from using their land against any country.
At a press briefing in Karachi on Sunday, he asked Indian media outlets to realise that Pakistan was interested in peace and stability in Afghanistan.
“We facilitated Mullah Abdul ’s meeting with Americans for the cause of peace,” the interior minister claimed.
Ahmad explained there was no in the country and the Afghans who entered Pakistan illegally had been sent back to their homeland.
