Biden to deliver policy speech on Afghanistan
White House has said that the US president Joe Biden to deliver major speech about his policies on Afghanistan after US troops full drawdown
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_The speech will be delivered today after Joe is briefed concerning the updates from Afghanistan by his advisors.
Press Secretary said that Biden’s national security team will update him about the progress in US troops’ withdrawal.
Psaki added that the drawdown of troops, ongoing security and humanitarian assistance to Afghan government force members will be focal points of presidents Biden’s speech.
The White House spokeswoman told reporters; Biden strongly believes that there is no military solution to the conflict in Afghanistan.
The speech comes days after Joe Biden told journalist in a White House press conference that he is not willing to take questions about Afghanistan so it will concern him. The comment stemmed grave reactions in Afghanistan accusing Biden of being indifferent to what is going on in the war-torn country.
President Joe Biden in his meet with Afghan leaders at the White House reiterated his humanitarian and security assistance to Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.
US troops is 90% complete and the rest are due to leave Afghanistan by mid-September.
